Roaring Fork Family Practice has the most Amazing staff and are always professional. My Primary doctor is Dr. Chad J. Kanaus. He is a compassionate and caring doctor that truly cares about his patients. His NP Flor is amazing and always made me comfortable in any situation. And Suzie at the front desk is the most wonderful person. She takes care of everyone with grace even if it’s busy. I highly recommend Roaring Fork Family Practice.

Wonderful doctors office. Front desk ladies were very welcoming. PA- Karen Peters and her assistant gave exceptional care; both listened very attentively to my concerns. Exiting desk ladies were very informative about billing. All around five-star experience. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, these providers are rewarded for positive reviews & the negative ones rarely make it into circulation and are always met with the generic “We Value Your Experience” blah blah. I experienced a prime reason why folks don’t trust going to the doctor anymore- being nickel and dimed. Be aware that if you mention literally anything more than the one issue they have you scheduled for, you may be charged over $400 as I was. I came in for one issue, with a side request to fill meds that I’ve been on for years, but told the doc I would understand if it warranted a separate visit given my status as a new patient. The provider said it wouldn’t be a problem to refill them, asked my dose & if that worked for me, refilled them, and carried on. I was in with her for 20 minutes, maximum. No ROS, no physical exam of any kind- heart rate, lungs, abdomen, etc. The doctor (nurse practitioner, actually) only laid hands on me for a swab. $400 bill later, I received an unreasonably rude callback from their billing department saying there was absolutely no issue with the way I was billed and I had no call to ask for a review of the billing codes. The level of care was…fine. Acceptable. The billing sucks. Please don’t ask your patients leading questions like “anything else I can help you with today?” Especially if you plan on charging them for each individual question.

My primary care physician retired and it was time for my annual check up. I saw Doctor Gisleson for the first time yesterday, and it was a very positive experience. I am looking forward to having these guys take care of it.

Dr. Sontag has provided me with excellent care as my primary care provider. She is thoughtful, compassionate and skilled. The office staff answers calls in a timely manner and are courteous. As good as going to the doctor can be.

My first time to the location, and healthcare colleague had recommended a doctor that wouldn’t be available till next month so I chose to see Shana Light, APRN, NP-C, so I could get in sooner. It was a great decision! It was the best medical appointment I’ve ever had! Shana was thorough, listened, provided guidance, and was open to my needs! I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Andy Gisleson has been my Primary Care Physician for many years now; he is a wonderful doctor with comprehensive up-to-date medical knowledge, with a warm caring personality, and is obviously devoted to his patients and his medical practice. I would highly recommend him!
